Unacceptable Items
We cannot accept items with heavy soiling or odors, or that are non-functional. Our staff also will refuse any item fitting a category below.
Please be aware that we do not offer donation pick-up, and drop-offs must be between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (seven days a week).
Appliances
We're unable to accept any kind of appliance other than small, kitchen-countertop appliances. No ranges, stoves, clothes dryers, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, and similar-sized appliances. Small, portable appliances such as toaster ovens, microwaves, food processors, etc., can be accepted, but must be in good working condition.
Mattresses
Mattresses of all kinds cannot be accepted. This includes foundations and box springs. For more information on Portland area mattress recyclers, visit the Metro website.
Computers & Office Machines
Whether it's a 2023 Lenovo with an i9 chip or a 1993 Macintosh Color Classic with a Motorola CPU, we can't make sure it's workable, so we won't sell it. Consider donating to Free Geek, a Portland nonprofit that refurbishes and recycles IT equipment to make computers available in the community at low or no cost.
