St. Vincent de Paul's main Portland office has scheduled a 2-hour late start Wed., Jan. 17, to give staff and volunteers the chance to take it slow as they come into the office. The decision results from the lingering cold and icy temperatures still forecast into the early morning Wednesday.
The hotlines for rent/utility assistance, and for food, will each open one hour late. Each will close at its normal time. Aid for rent and utilities may be limited Wednesday due to the backlog of calls missed on Monday and Tuesday.
