Thanksgiving food box line forced to close

A torrent of orders has forced the early closure of our 2025 Thanksgiving food box line. This year we set a new record, meeting the maximum number of requests we could handle in less than three days' time.

After opening Oct. 28, our small cadre of call takers took more than 360 orders in less than 16 hours. The call takers' rate of orders taken, on a daily basis, was 123 per day. The prior record was 80.2 per day, set in 2024. The record before that was 64.7 per day in 2019.

While we can't take more orders for Thanksgiving boxes this year, our food hotline remains open daily to accept requests for regular food boxes. The hotline number is 503-235-8431, which is open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
