Beloved volunteer Patricia Ann "Patsy" Lee was taken back by our Lord April 19. Her smile and sense of humor will continue to be greatly missed.

Patsy was born in July 1945, and started volunteering with our council's Emergency Services office in June 2020 in order to help St. Vincent de Paul deal with an onslaught of assistance applications spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic. After COVID concerns waned, Patsy continued to volunteer as a regular call taker on our food hotline.

The daughter of Irish immigrants, Patsy was a helper and a giver, but ever so humble. Through her faith, and through her church, she helped many people in need in a variety of ways around Portland.

She was always quick with a smile, but never brash or condescending. She looked for the positive in people, and never complained herself.

Her funeral mass was May 9 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Portland.
