Executive Director's appeal for Christmas

As the beginning of the Christmas season unfolds around us, I'm reminded of the quiet miracles that happen when people choose to share what they have with others. Since joining this wonderful organization in early 2016, I've witnessed the kindness and generosity that so many of you have bestowed upon our mission of helping those in need. Christmas is, at its core, a celebration of generosity―of giving not only gifts, but time, compassion, and the treasure we hold most dear.

This year, as in years past, I invite you to join me in reflecting on the blessings we've received and the ways we can pass them on. Each of us carries unique treasures―some of them material, some not―which have the power to ease burdens, spark hope, and brighten someone's path. When we share these treasures, something beautiful happens: they don't diminish, they multiply. That's why I'm reaching out to ask for your support.
Your generosity―whether it be through a donation, or simply spreading the word―makes a real difference. Together we can help ensure that those who need comfort, encouragement, or practical assistance feel the warmth of this holiday season. As Vincent reminds all of us, "We should strive to keep our hearts open to the sufferings and wretchedness of other people, and pray continually that God may grant us that spirit of compassion which is truly the spirit of God."
If you feel so moved and are able, please consider a contribution to our mission here at St. Vincent de Paul. Your gift will help us to administer much needed rent, utility, and food assistance to those in need. No donation is too small; every offering becomes part of a larger story of kindness and community. Thank you for opening your heart and sharing your gifts. May this Christmas fill your home with peace, joy, and the deep satisfaction that comes from giving to others.
Yours In Christ,
Brian Ferschweiler
Executive Director
