Our Services

We provide compassionate support to individuals in need. Characteristics of those we help span a wide range of ethnicities, ages, nationalities and religions. We help regardless of gender, education and family or household status.  We work to overcome a lack of interpreters and, when possible, serve those who speak little or no English.

In the last fiscal year, through our network of Conference volunteers and the Portland Council, we provided much-needed services to 306,000 low/no income clients.  $1.7 million was paid out in rent, utility and transportation assistance.  Our services include:

  • Emergency financial assistance for rent and eviction notices
  • Financial assistance for utilities and shut-off notices
  • Transportation in the form of bus tickets
  • Emergency food boxes to help our clients during times of food insecurity
