When you join forces with over 1,500 St. Vincent de Paul volunteers you are no longer just a drop in the ocean but become a wave.
Over-produced food is rescued from restaurants, delicatessens, universities, hospitals, vending companies and up-scale caterers, repackaged and frozen. This food is an essential part of many agencies' food boxes who serve people in need. If you would like to work in a kitchen environment without cooking and do a vital job for the community, this is the job for you.
The Portland Council center is located 5120 SE Milwaukie Ave., Portland, Oregon (Map). Our Emergency Service Office, Food Bank, and Food Recovery Program are located on this site. We also have off site opportunities for people wishing to volunteer but may have work, family or timing barriers.
