Click on the link below to see all that we’ve done in the last year to make life a little better for our community: SVdP Annual Rpt 6-2018
The SVdP Portland Council is running very low on some things critically needed by our clients, particularly the children. We ask your help to ensure our area children get basics needed for daily living, such as protein foods and hygiene items. Would you please consider donating the following to our pantry?
- Canned tuna
- Canned beef and chicken stew
- Canned ravioli
- Peanut butter
- Canned fruit and shelf-stable individual fruit juices
Also needed are:
- Family size bars of soap, shampoo and deodorant
******Don’t forget—Fred Meyer partners with St. Vincent de Paul—so a portion of your purchases from Fred Meyer will be donated to us. Sign up for the Community Rewards program by linking your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to St. Vincent de Paul by going to the Fred Meyer website (Sign up Here). You can search for us by our name or by our non-profit number, 91157. ******
We’re located at 8101 SE Cornwell St., just a few blocks north of the Johnson Creek Fred Meyer. You can drop off your donation at our warehouse Mondays and Fridays from 8:00 – 12:00 & 1:00 – 4:00, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 2:30 – 4:00.
Thank you for your generosity and for making a difference in the lives of our hungry neighbors!

St. Vincent de Paul has been fully operation in our new headquarters office since September 19, 2016. There is ample parking in front of the building. In the Emergency Services office on the ground floor we accept rent, utility and food assistance requests by phone at 503-235-8431 (M-F, 9 am – 4 pm) or by visiting the new location at 8101 SE Cornwell Street (M-F, 9 am – 2 pm). Emergency Services clients have a spacious waiting room and private space for meeting with the staff.
The second floor houses our administrative offices including the office of the Executive Director, Conference Liaison, and Accounting. There is also a large meeting room on the second floor that is used for staff and Board of Directors’ meetings and Conference Presidents’ meetings. The space is also available to Conferences for meetings, training and other gatherings.
The Portland Council was the subject of a video produced by Brian Harris of the Portland Center for the Media Arts (PCMA). The video was released in late August 2015, and runs for about 3-1/2 minutes. The video provides both live footage and expert narratives from our Executive Director and senior staff covering our 3 major programs: the Food Recovery Network, the Mobile Kitchen and the Emergency Services office. * Click here to watch. *
