Our staff and conference volunteers understand that many households are struggling. We know many households are just one paycheck from being homeless, or one unexpected emergency away from being forced to choose between food and shelter. We are here to help those in need.
Our Emergency Services program is professionally staffed along with assistance from conference volunteers from St. Louise Parish. The staff and conference volunteers answer incoming phone calls and assisting walk-in clients from households across the Metro region seeking help.
When sufficient funds are available, we assist with rents, utilities, food, travel and other types of emergency needs. Walk-Ins are welcome and it is often faster for clients.
Our offices are open between the hours of 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

I called yesterday at around 2:30 and waited on hold for an hour 1/2… they said there was 12 callers ahead of me, no answer, so I finally hung up at 4:00 when I realized your office was closing. I called this morning right when you opened, and I’ve been on hold for an hour and 23 minutes, and this time it said there was 18 callers ahead of me! I was calling for utility assistance for zip 97213… Is there something wrong with your phone lines??????????????
The only thing wrong with our phone lines is the number of people trying to get through for help. Our office waiting room has been filled everyday all day and the phones have been the same. You can come down to the office or stay on the phone until you talk with someone. Funds are very limited and the need is over whelming. Our address is 5120 SE Milwaukie Ave., Portland, OR 97202
