Part of a citywide networking system for collecting excess food from grocers, universities, hospitals, restaurants and major caterers, the Food Bank collected and distributed 2 million pounds of food in 2006. The food is made available to 82 different qualifying non-profit agencies in the Portland Metropolitan Area.
Emergency Services is staffed with volunteers who field calls and walk-in clients with emergency needs. When sufficient funds are available, we assist with rents, utilities, food, clothing, travel and other sundry needs.
